Construction of First Steam Locomotive Begins
There has been much excitement it the WR locomotive works in the last week. Following the summer shutdown construction has commence of the first steam locomotive for the WR. It is to an Hunslet 'Alice Class' design.
The engineer in charge of the build commented that prospective passengers should not, "hold their breathe," as there is still much work to be done before this locomotive will be hauling trains. And besides, the WR have not actually laid any track yet!
